A mantle sits right above the heat, so it has to stay put. Thermal modification and decades of air-drying in reclaimed timber lock the wood structure in place, so our mantles resist cracking, bowing and twisting from the fire below.

Each mantle is precision-cut and finished to your specification, including shelf depth and edge style, and fitted to stone, brick or plaster surrounds. Heat-resistant natural oils soak into the wood to bring out the grain and protect against soot, Ash and wear, leaving a mantle that is nearly maintenance-free.
