Reclaimed timber from a 1943 landmark

Built in 1943 to house Howard Hughes’ H-4 Hercules, the Spruce Goose, the 750-ft timber hangar in Playa Vista is one of the largest wooden structures ever built. Reclaimed Woods of the World supplied reclaimed wood for the hangar’s renovation, keeping salvaged old-growth timber in use alongside the original arches and wood siding.
