Reclaimed veneer
The barn on a flat panel
Sliced from the same reclaimed barnwood and railcar Oak we sell as solid, so panels, doors and millwork match the walls and floors.
Barnwood veneer
Weathered grey and brown barn siding faces sliced and laid up on plywood for doors, cabinet fronts and wall panels.
Burl and smoked
Walnut, Maple and Redwood burl veneer, plus smoked Oak and Eucalyptus panels for feature walls and furniture.
Why veneer
A veneer is a thin slice of wood, usually under 3 mm, glued onto doors, cabinets, floors and furniture. We carry 203+ species in stock.
1/40 in. slices
It's ecological and cost effective
Veneers are sliced as thin as possible so each log goes as far as possible, with very little waste compared with milling solid hardwood. That makes veneer a fraction of the cost of solid wood, and lighter to ship.
Top-grade logs
It's beautiful and versatile
Veneer logs are selected for their beauty and grade; any defects within the log must be patched by experienced woodworkers, so only top-grade material is used, and the way veneer is processed makes bookmatching and other unique design properties easy. Veneer is light and durable once applied to a solid surface, can be applied to a variety of materials, and its flexibility lets it fit tighter spots than traditionally milled hardwood without adding weight or bulk.
Less movement
It's stable
Wood tends to expand and contract with climate changes, which causes problems in certain applications. Because veneers are thinner (1/40 in.) and less porous they do not fluctuate as severely and hold their true shape.
efficient
Sliced to 1/40 inch for maximum yield
Veneers are sliced to be as thin as possible, about 1/40 of an inch, which allows for the maximum use of each log. During production there is very little waste when compared to the traditional milling of hardwoods.
