Panaget French Oak is characterized by a tighter, more intricate and delicate grain pattern. The wood is also “creamier” and more “buttery” in color versus the slightly more mixed hues often found in other European Oak floors. The magnificently refined French Oak generates an exceptionally refined and sophisticated look.
For a solid feel and a maximized wear layer we have developed a type of engineered flooring that mimics the feel of a solid plank flooring but with the added benefits and strength of an engineered plank.
Wide Plank Engineered Flooring
We offer engineered wide plank flooring in White Oak & Teak as well as a number of other species. Also available in carbonized and fumed planks.
Deliverable in 8″-10″-12″ widths (subject to availability).
Shrunken Knot European Oak Flooring
Shrunken Knot floors have a long history in Europe and are considered one of the most sophisticated floors. The processing of the top veneer or lamella is very unique and very different when compared to mass production floors sold in our marketplace. Shrunken Knot floors have a unique surface due to the way the lamella is processed. Human hand scraping and carving cannot duplicate the natural looks of aged and worn down wood floors. Artificial effects done by human hand with tooling to carve raised knots and sunken spots, take away the beauty of natural defects in wood. Shrunken Knot process allows the lamella the time to naturally dry and shrink, and the results are very beautiful and natural looking surface with raised knots and sunken spots. Our mill is not a high volume producer thus we can exercise tedious old techniques, to create Shrunken Knot flooring. We allow seasoning and drying steps to take its course creating undulations, raised and sunken surfaces as intently done by nature.
We produce 3 types of Shrunken Knot floor:
EALD WOOD: The surface is medium wire brushed with consistent kerfs. The kerfs are the effect of band saw cutting of the lamella.
PARISIAN: Lightly wire brushed, with sporadic kerfs.
BUCKINGHAM: Lightly wire brushed, with almost no kerf. Clearing the lamella surface with high speed blades gives this floor unique clarity after finishing.
Floors with any of the surfaces described above, combined with raised knots and sunken natural defects, are considered sophisticated and highly artistic wood floors in Europe. This type of craftsmanship is forgotten in America as we are known for high volume and mid range priced markets.
The lightly wire brushed Parisian and Buckingham come polished and ready for on job site finishing. These reduce time consuming, troublesome, and dusty processes.
We are bringing back the old and beautiful European craftsmanship inexpensively.

What is reclaimed wood?
Reclaimed wood is high-quality wood from various sources such as old barns, warehouses, stock farms among many other sources. Using Reclaimed woods is environmentally friendly and gives life to old wood that may have otherwise been discarded. Using reclaimed wood for your next project is much more efficient than manufacturing new wood products. In fact, by using reclaimed wood you can save up to 5 times the energy consumption compared to the energy it would have taken to manufacture a new wood product. Reclaimed wood is often better quality then other newer woods since many of the sources come from old-growth wood. Old-growth trees refer to trees that naturally reach their maturity in their natural setting and are not manipulated in any way such is the case with some tree farms. Because the tree grows more slowly, old-growth wood is typically more durable due to the denser fiber that is produced from the slower growth rate. Because of its durability, slow-growth wood often is one of the more stable woods available and are less likely to be adversely affected by changes in humidity over long periods of time. Lastly, because reclaimed wood is often not produced anymore, they will contain a character and story that you just cannot find with other types of modern manufactured wood.
